Rico Romero steps away after five years with the band.
Ward XVI announced that Rico Romero is leaving after five years. The band thanked him for his contribution, friendship and stage energy, from his first appearance with the inmates at Bloodstock in 2021 onwards.
In his accompanying message, Rico explained that he is ready to pursue other interests and spend time with his family. He made clear that the departure was not the result of a falling-out, and thanked the band’s community for the friendships and experiences of those five years.
Both messages look ahead with affection: the band wished Rico well, and he said he still plans to attend shows from the audience.
